The United States government has announced that there will be a fee increase for passport renewal applications submitted on or after December 27, 2021. The overall passport fee, which varies depending on the applicant's age and eligibility for a DS-11 or DS-82 application, will rise by $20.

According to the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, applicants who submit their passports via Aramex delivery service must pay the fees using a banker's cheque made out to 'Aramex Malaysia Sdn Bhd'. The payment must be in the precise amount listed above and should not be rounded up or down. Applications without correct payment will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender.

The current passport fees in Ringgit are listed on the embassy's website, based on the official Consular exchange rate.
